School is back in session

Wowzer the kids are growing up fast! It is hard to believe Jake is a Sophomore and Ella an 8th grader! Where does the time go? Ella is already busy skating and is the 8th grade football student manager. He he I find this funny as she knows nothing about the sport. Jake is busy helping his family prepare for the new baby (Zach and Alish are expecting in November) along with taking care of his new puppy Griffan. We are looking forward to a busy fall season with sports, weddings, and school. Life definitely is not slowing down anytime soon.

Photo Shoot

The kids had a photo shoot with Heidi and I am so excited to get them back. It has been close to 4 years since she has taken them and not only have the kids grown but Heidi has grown in her skill as a photographer and it was simply amazing watching her work. I took a couple with my phone and will post professional ones once I get them. Enjoy my grown up kiddos!!!!

Summer

It has been awhile since my last post and it is hard to believe Ella and Jake will be back in school next month. It has been a very busy summer with skating, weekends at the lake, a week in Minot for the fair, and still tons more to come in August.

Ella has been busy skating this summer and even attended a competition in St.Paul in July. It was a very successful competition with a First place finish in Freeskate. The big news so far is that she is finally landing her Axel. For those figure skaters out there you know that this is a HUGE deal. OH AND ELLA IS OFFICIALLY A TEENAGER!!!

Jake has enjoyed many evenings hanging with his friends, drivers Ed, and a 2 week stay with the Idland's both Devils Lake and mom and Brent. It was great to have him and was definitely not long enough of a visit.

It has been a great summer and can not wait to see what August brings!

Last Day of School

The kiddos are done with school and both made the Honor Roll. I am one super excited mom!!!!! I can't believe they will be a sophomore (jake) and 8th grader (Ella) where does the time go? Enjoy your summer!!!!

Mother's Day

Sunday was a fabulous day with my family (minus Jake) and started with a lovely cup of coffee and the newspaper followed by a scrumptious breakfast made by Ella. It was so Yummy and she is a fabulous chef. I received a beautiful framed painting made by an up and coming artist named Ella Idland! It is displayed in my office and makes me smile every time I look at it. She has so many talents from academics (4.0 student), cooking, art, figure skating, volleyball, track the list is just to long and it all makes me so PROUD. The only thing missing this day was Jacob but of course he text me in the morning before he went to work and then called on his break. He is such a hard worker in school, at his job, helping with his younger sister Mirah, and is an excellent singer in his school chorus. I can't believe that my little ones are almost done with another year of school and will be 8th and 10th graders in the fall. Where does the time go? I am so proud to spend not only this day with my kids but everyday knowing that they are the reason it is so great to be a MOM!

DMV Visit

Another year has passed and it was time for new tags on my Land Rover. As I was dreaded waiting in the always long I hesitated getting out of my car and was amused the car across from me with a dog sitting in the drivers seat. It was so funny how he/she kept looking around like he was waiting for someone to join him. The sight left me with a good giggle while waiting in line.

Track meet

Ella is loving track and consistently doing well in hurdles. We had some nice weather today do the meet was enjoyed by all.
