A couple of weeks back we took a trip to Devils Lake for Ella to test for figure skating. She had a very successful test session passing her Juvenile Moves in the Field and her Hickory Hoedown Bronze Dance Test. July of 2010 Ella gave herself a very tough goal and said she was going to work at passing her pre juv MIF and her Juv MIF before she left for Australia. Now honestly Jen and I knew she could do it but the reality of it actually happening was very unlikely as she would truly have to work hard in order to accomplish this goal plus compete and advance in dance and freestyle and with the amount of time she was giving herself it just didn't seem very likely. We will never doubt that girl again! She is having a great time learning her Intermediate MIF and is not right on track to have her MIF tests complete by the age of 15. YOU GO Ella!!
Last Weekend we returned to Minot for the Magic City FSC Ice Show. I was excited to go back to the arena to watch a MCFSC Ice show however it was quite bittersweet as I loved doing ice shows at the All Seasons arena (now I believe it is the state fair center) and all of the excitement it brought to me that time of year. We did not however just go back to watch the skaters. Jacob was part of the Jim Hill Chorus that performed during the Ice Show titled Glee. He has an amazing voice and I continue to be so very proud of him. YOU GO Jacob!!
My picture taking skills have been quite lazy as of the past couple of weeks so I am adding some photos of Ella from this past winter.
Yes, Ella is now officially taller than her LOLA which makes her taller than her mother also. I can't say that I am sad as I have always wanted to be taller.
